What’s The Difference Between A Board Game And An Electronic Game?

By admin Posted in: iphone game

I developed a board game which is on it’s way to get patented. The question came because lots of people are like, “oh but you gotta be careful” because, now days people just don’t play board games anymore because playing board games is not like it was and now with the technology and all the home consoles such as xbox360,ps3,psp, nds, nintendo, PC, iphone apps, etc… are taking over. (Of course I’m aware of this but I didn’t cared and made my game).
So what do you think.

  1. lololol Says

duh the one its BOARD the other its ELECTRONIC, 2 different words

  2. Pighi Says

Board games are better. I love them. I’d take you game over an electronic one any day!

  3. Non-Cre8tive Name Says

It’s basically the medium in which the game is played. For example, when referring to an “over the board” game in chess. It means the game was played in person on an old fashioned board with real pieces. That would be different than playing via the internet. It’s still the same game, but online would obviously be considered an ‘electronic’ version for lack of a better term.
You see this a lot today with games like Monopoly, Scrabble, Chess, etc. You can play at home the old fashioned way with pieces, boards, tiles or cards, etc. You also have the option to play all these games electronically via sites on the internet, or in some cases you can purchase them for play on Play Station, XBox, etc.
    Hope that helps!
